I hardly post work, and its been ages... so there's a little something for you, the whoever I'm writing to.
Currently, playing with some paintings and sketching ideas for: a tee shirt design (please let me make money in an exciting way) and a freestyle graphic that I would like to enter at @party... a demo party in Boston this summer.

I'm officially going to the Art Institute of Boston!

letters, poetry, figures

Words are left out too often
After stumbling upon this brilliant project called 300 love letters
(Check it out, highly entert
aining and inspiring.)
I have found myself writing letters to people in my life (though with no intention of sending them yet)
this way I can train myself to express moreso in words, where I'm currently lacking.
The creator of this project puts it perfectly:

"I wanted to be able to pull out and vocalize the small thread connecting me to them, them to me, the something in them that I found beautiful or real and the something between us that existed beneath everything, acknowledged or unacknowledged, forgotten gestures and moments, strange and rare affinities."

(one "love letter" I'm willing to share, also found in an older post
)

Fridge poetry,
temporary
an entertaining art that has always interested my soul.
I should collect pictures of said work...

this one is made by Jake Taylor

Jacob. My model. He likes to sit for me, and I enjoy drawing him.. we all win :)
Figure drawing is my high, my craving throughout the day,
want to be drawn next?

Recently in my notebook, a written Haiku and models inspired by the simple& gorgeous fashion sketches of Sandra Suy.

This is my practicing of the dramatic look of models.

Final

This is the final project for my visual arts class, we had to create something on a large ceiling tile..
Everyone was a nervous wreck trying to finish in 3 hours! funny/intriguing...
My tile is a "page" from a graphic novel, making up a drama filled story of a squid attacking the poor boat and crew. Acrylic. O the sea and mysteries we won't see..

The way I see it...

To be an artist you must be slightly insane+

I can accept that, no, I
NEED to be surrounded by that insanity.

Crazy drives creativity, takes it out to lunch, and FEEDS it.

embrace insanity.

This is what happens when an old song is stuck in the mind while drawing on a graphics pad...
